I'm currently in the midst of re-designing Lizoran to make him less of sonic fanart (as you can tell by my signature), however I've not yet decided on a style.
SOOO I ask of you all to take Lizoran and interpret him in whatever way you see fit (within reason, obviously) Keep the colour scheme, clothing and the fact that he's an anthro dragon the same please, although I don't mind minor alterations to them, just nothing HUGE
The entries I deem to be the best 3 will have artwork done for them by me, including (but not limited to) photomanipulation or GTOF character artwork.
Artwork will be judged by these 4 points: Character Design
Clarity
Personality
Deviation from Sonic Style
Character Design:
Obvious. The basic design of the character. Clarity:
How obvious the design is. This includes (but is not limited to) defined lineart. Personality:
How much character the picture has.. Attitude and emotion, things like that. Personality:
How much the character doesn't look like a Sonic character.
I won't be marking on detail because of peoples different styles.. I feel marking on detail would be a little unfair.
So people, get to work! ^_^
Closing date is Christmas Eve 2008 (And if you're seriously that stupid, that's December 24th)

I know you probably don't wanna hear this, but I'm particularly fond of the sonic style. To me it's a really good form for lizoran. Though yes he is a bit outdated, I will be forced to continue using the sonic style in my comics regardless of whatever new form arises as the defaul Lizoran to refrain from confusing readers as to why he randomly looks different.

Aye yes.. Still an anthro dragon please =) Although how much Anthro and how much Dragon is up to you.

That's fair enough, it makes perfect sense. Besides, I won't have new sprites done for months probably lol. Feel free to give the contest a shot, or not if you don't want to. But either way, I appreciate the input, and thanks

I was going to mix you new style with the spikes I was so fond of in the Sonic-style, make him taller, and a dash more human, and add some bone-spikes.
I wanted to try this out...
It's Lizoran with the burden of his little bro... what will he ever do?
I gave him more of a casual outfit, his jacket his buttoned up to look pretty formal than just a jacket some rider would have.
He has good qualities even though nobody likes to show it from him... Rumar looks funny in this one. :3
Gave him a tail to make him further away from his Sonic counterpart.
I wanna shade him later though, maybe add some extra things to both of them.

Art isn't really motivating (for me), otherwise i'd be fine.
Aye, I know he was never that easy.. I guess that's why I got so much respect when I created him.. Because you could see how much effort I'd put into the design, how I'd really tried to give him some character and personality, and then after I'd released him to the general public, I still carried on editing him a little until I'd gotten him perfect.
Now, however, that vision of perfection has gone, since I don't want him to be a sonic character anymore lol. (Don't worry, fellas! He'll still be in the GTOF once I got new sprites up and running)
