Spriting Contest #2 Ideas

Let's brainstorm, what sprite should we use for the next spriting contest for a base? Sonic, Mario, MM, etc. Post your ideas and if you have just the idea that you believe would be perfect that everyone could work on, go ahead and post the image here. I'd like a lot more people participating this upcoming one (I'm thinking about one spriting contest a month and maybe make it into a tradition)

How about doing a background full custom? Give a size that it needs to be and weather or not it needs to loop, or just be a comic background.

Custom background? Sounds pretty difficult, but okay, if anyone else wants to work on some nice BGs, then let's do it.
