 Orchestrating a Nation: RPG OOC
PLEASE READ ALL THE WAY THROUGH SO YOU REALLY UNDERSTAND IT.
Okay, here is how this works: This is an Alternate History RPGish sort of thing.
Me and (possibly) Sgt.Simpson will organize this, because we are the only ones with the game Hearts of Iron 2: Doomsday.
Said game is a Grand Strategy game that simulates WW2 (and with Doomsday, goes into the years of 1953, and with the Armaggedon add-on to it [which we have] 1964, making a possible WW3 scenario.)
I will supply screenshots and updates on the situation as it progresses...
We will be a custom nation, basically, and start small, maybe the state of Denver, or part of another nation. Sgt.Simpson and I will decide on the name/place.
It will most likely start in the Americas, as most of the people on this site are from/near there.
Rules:
You are either a commander, a soldier, a reporter, or politician.
We will all be part of the same nation! UNLESS. Someone makes a side-character that is a politician, and there are 3 commanders, that is the minimum requirement of people who want to run their own nation.
These will always be kept seperate!
All forum rules apply, as far as I can tell.
You can curse in-character, as long as it isn't excessive!
No god modding, since we are using the game, I will inform you of what is happening/new.
How to Join: Follow the steps below...
1. Choose a Class: Commander, Soldier, Reporter, or Politician.
Commander: Depending on rank, can lead from a Division to an Army (Corp)
Most in-character posts will be messages to Headquarters/Capital, of requests for supplies/forces/equipment etc....
You may indulge into writing an in-character post that is the normal format for RPing, this is encouraged to keep you active. We will throw-in things that even the game won't to keep this RPG going.
Soldier: At the very beginning, you will be in "Boot Camp" as there will be little to do. You will do a lot of story-like posts.
Reporter: You will write articles of what is happening in the world, so that Characters may learn what is happening. Note: One of my side-characters will be a reporter. So there is no real need for them, feel welcome, however, to make a character like this.
Politician: You will be doing a lot of in-game political intrigue. Assassinations, and etc... Once there is a third politician, we will be doing a lot of political debates, so this is a cool one, in my opinion.
2. Make your character... Eye color, hair color, name, back story, etc...
3. PM me it, I will edit it, assign rank (for soldier/commander) and approve it. (usually)
It will be a little complicated, but don't be intimidated! I expect it will be fun. This is a good way to become a better writer!
