Actual Sprites In Brawl?

I just had the most awesome thought, you should be able to rip real, 2d SPRITES from Super Smash Bros. Brawl!

Get this, the answer is Flat Zone 2, when ever you go on that stage, all the Brawlers are converted into 2d versions of themselves!

Audience: *Collective gasp*

Now, this is not the same as "Bitmap Ripping" (as I like To call it) where you take a screenshot of the game screen and render the 3d image, because the image was not 3d to begin with! This could lead us into a new generation of sprites!

But, there are some (more like a LOT) problems with this, this first being the pixels... A sprite, by definition, is made up of clearly defined pixels, seeing as the 2d images in Brawl are NOT originally pixilated per-say, there will be some problems with ripping. Second is finding a computer that is powerful enough to emulate Brawl... They do exist, but good luck finding one you can afford, and then you'll have to find a actual emulator to play the game...

Sadly, the technology we have at the moment is not powerful enough to do this... yet.

I am looking forward to a time where this theory and be tested IN FULL! But until then, play Brawl and see for yourself what I'm talking about, its all there, in Flat Zone 2.

Man, it would take sooo much time to take a pic of each frames, cut them, render them....

Thats what I'm talking about, in ZSNES you can disable backgrounds and slow the framerate as slow as you want it. Instant sprites!

Now it we could get a Wii Emulator that can do that...

Wii Emulator?

That would take AGES!
Anyway I don't see people in the future using Brawl sprites.

Are you sure, SoGMeister? Because they are using the whole SSB Project over at Spriter's Resource. They are thinking about doing the same at MFZ, but are still shuffling that thought.

Spriter's resources?
MFZ?

Spriter Resources will keep doing it MMZ style,no matter what.
MFZ...I really doubt it.

And btw I meant that I don't see people using SSBB's sprites for Flashes.
Obiously It will be helpfull for making sprites.

Good luck. Dolphin Emulator runs at 50% on even the best computer.

Yeah I never played the game and I want to see this level because theres a chance it could be 3d, but comes off as 2d
