Guys...I think everyone should know this by now, but try to make your posts of at least 3 words long, or we'd be obligated to infract for that.
It's something lame to infract for, I know, but it isn't all that hard making the post a little bit longer.
Try to contribute with your opinion on how to make things better or why you like something or not, depending on the topic, that'd be a great help.

That's not much to ask for, can I count with you guys?

Yeah guys, it's really not difficult. A complete sentence itself has two words minimum. Subject + Verb. It's NOT hard.


At least make an effort. :/

Well it may come off as strict, but really, it's sickening when all the posts around here are in spam && are things like: Lol, penis, boobs, lulz, etc. There's so much time && money that goes into this place. It's not like it's all a joke. The spam nation was for when people did want to post things such as those above, but that doesn't mean the posts shouldn't follow the rules, nor does it mean that the rest of the forum should be neglected. It's annoying to see a bunch of pointless posts in a thread. Some threads are for serious discussion. Some are for opinions && constructive criticism. When almost all the posts on here are in Spam Nation, it sucks. There is a lot more to this forum than spam, && all the members have been promoting lately WAS the spam nation. Why not refer some friends here? Why not post useful threads? We don't want this place to go down the drain, not with all the work that's been put into it. Seriously.

Spam nation going to be opening back up but I want to see what its like without it for a few days.
When it comes back your going to have to make 5 simple posts elsewhere to be able to post in there.
Thats not to many posts and that right there may help out.
I'm sorry if you guys are upset about it but if you leave because of it then the forum must of not been worth much to you in the first place.
We have a few people working on projects at the moment and we want to keep the forum looking nice. We don't mind if some topics get off subject as we do it sometimes too.
Don't worry about getting infractions, if you do and you see it unruly contact an admin and see what they think about it.
I don't like being strict but we have to test a few things out.

Its that were not seeing enough posts in other sections as we are in spamnation, we just want people to post in other sections for a few days.

This forum has way to many sections for the amount of users that come here, you guys should get rid of some of them or merge them into relating catagories.

Good point, Shark, we should dump the shop section, since nobody uses the credits anymore and the SSBB TCG section can go too since it died, i think it can be brought back when there's more people.

As Highlander said before, it's better to have a slow forum than a spam forum. Besides, VGDC doesn't even HAVE a spam section, they won't even let you spam up the chatbox unless staff is doing it too.

Think of the post count, we're working on a special project where post counts will matter in using this awesome new feature.

Here`s what i`d probably do. Not saying its the only way to go but just a suggestion.

Changes

TCVR News - This section is good enough to keep the way it is even though there's a ton of sub forums.

The News Room - This section could be merged into the general section, doesn't really deserve to have a section all to it self and isn't used too much anyways

Introductions Can be kept the way it is or turned into a sub-forum of the general section?

Constitution No changes, rule forum.

The Fleets Ive never really cared about clans myself, forum doesn't seem to be used much.

General Discussion No changes.

General Discussion- - Wild Nature Could be merged into parent forum. Rarely used, I always forget the section is even there.

Gaming Discussion - No changes

Whore your stuff - No changes

Video Links - No changes

General Help- No changes

The spam nation - Completely pointless forum, only hurts the site. Delete it.

Super Smash Bros. Trading Card Game - Forum never used, could be turned into a single thread in the whore your stuff section.

Grand Tournament of Fellas - Isn't this just a big clan?

Submit your own comic - Could be merged into Whore your Stuff

Polls/Elections Deleted or merged into the general section.

Credit Office - Delete it

Online Arcade - Doesn't really need a section to its self. All major updates to the Arcade mod could be posted in the News/Updates section

Law of the Land - Delete it OR merged with the current rule section.

The Market Merge with whore your stuff

Staff Contests No changes

Member Contests Almost never used, can be merged into Whore your Stuff

Introductions - Can still be a thread in general but works great as it is.

* Comic Section * - Comics are obviously a big part of this site, so a new section could be created for all user made comic releated threads instead of bunching it into whore your stuff.

It is a setup much like VGDC I know but it will probably be better this way,. With less sections, the posts that you do get are NOT spread out over 22+ forums/subforums and more likely to be seen since the member doesn't have to scan through like 25 forums to find something he/she wants to post about. Forum will also look a lot less cluttered.

You have a lot of excellent points, but that's what Submit Your Comics Section is all about, it's not just the staff, but everyone gets to go in.
I'll start at work with the layout when I get back... maybe, if i can't make it back tonight, that means i'm busy... uhmm... playing with myself, yeah that!
